This engine mount is a cross-platform part covering Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (first generation, 901–904) and the contemporary VW LT 28–46 II series, which shared powertrains and engine installation geometry with the Sprinter through a joint development programme. Three OE references — including the Chrysler/Dodge aftermarket number 05104034AA — confirm its suitability for global market variants.
The Sprinter 901–904 generation established the platform for modern light commercial vehicles and remains in active workshop use worldwide. Engine mount failure on these vehicles is characterised by increased idle vibration, clunking under load changes, and in severe cases, contact between the engine block and chassis crossmember.
