Vehicle Application:
Imported BMW 1 Series & 3 Series
This rubber bushing is specifically designed for the rear suspension control arm and traction arm systems of imported BMW 1 Series and 3 Series models. Covering multiple mounting positions on this platform, it is a frequently replaced elastic damping component during chassis maintenance. The bushing is installed at the hinge nodes at both ends of the control arm, primarily bearing the longitudinal, lateral, and vertical triaxial stresses from the road surface during vehicle operation. Through the elastic deformation of the rubber, it converts impact kinetic energy into internal energy, thereby reducing noise and vibration intensity transmitted from the chassis to the body. For BMW models like the 1 Series and 3 Series, known for their sporty performance, the precision of the rear suspension geometry directly affects the rear-end tracking performance when exiting corners. This bushing, through precise axial and radial stiffness design, allows the control arm to move within a predetermined trajectory, preventing uncontrolled camber changes in the tires during extreme handling, providing the driver with realistic and linear driving feedback.
The outer diameter is 45mm, the inner diameter is 12mm, the overall installation length is 50mm, and the flange outer diameter is 33mm. Compared to other specifications in the same series, the 50mm installation length combined with the 33mm flange outer diameter ensures more stable axial positioning of the bushing within the mounting hole, especially reducing axial displacement under significant longitudinal impact. The 12mm inner diameter precisely matches the control arm bolts; the bolts pass through the inner metal core tube to bear the force, while the outer rubber layer provides cushioning. This separation of functions results in a rational structure. The overall dimensions are CNC machined after precise 3D mapping of the original parts, with strict mold tolerance control and high batch-to-batch dimensional consistency, ensuring assembly stability in large-scale repair scenarios.
Functionality: The rubber hardness is specially formulated to maintain necessary lateral rigidity while ensuring sufficient vibration isolation, preventing the suspension from becoming soft and slippery under large lateral forces (such as high-speed cornering), ensuring consistent steering feel and rear-end movement. The bushing also effectively absorbs longitudinal impacts during braking dive and acceleration nose-up, improving ride comfort.
Durability: Made with high-performance synthetic rubber, it boasts excellent low-temperature flexibility, maintaining elasticity without cracking even in the low temperatures of northern winters, making it particularly suitable for regions with significant seasonal temperature variations. The metal frame undergoes dual treatment with phosphating and anti-corrosion coating, significantly extending its service life in humid and saline-alkali road conditions.
Compatibility: Adaptable to multiple model years and body codes of imported BMW 1 Series and 3 Series vehicles, and compatible with multiple original equipment mounting locations. One product can meet the bushing replacement needs of multiple locations within the same vehicle, effectively reducing the complexity of spare parts management.
