Mercedes-Benz Vito 114 2.3 (638.134/638.194) [M111.978] 1996–2003
This engine mount occupies the chassis-side mounting position on the Mercedes-Benz Vito W638, working in conjunction with LJ-502 to fully isolate the engine from the van body structure. The Vito 638 is a unibody vehicle where effective engine isolation is particularly important, as vibration paths through the monocoque are shorter and more direct than in body-on-frame commercial vehicles.
The W638's M111 petrol and OM611 CDI engines both benefit from properly functioning engine mounts: the M111's high-revving character generates vibration at a different frequency to the CDI's low-speed torque pulses, and the shared mount geometry must accommodate both. This part uses a rubber compound hardness specification matched to the Vito W638's measured engine torque range.
